Walla Walla Wine Country Open Doubles Tourney

Saturday, June 29, 2019

Hello Club Members,

Another great tourney. We had many teams over from Portland and a few from Seattle.  I am always impressed with the increase in our clubs level of play. Van and I will be working on a training program so we can be even more competitive in the future. I must say I am a little worn out after our third tournament this month and fourth in just over 30 days. Thanks to everyone who helps us put these tourneys on we couldn't do it without your help! Next year we will try to spread these big tourneys out more evenly.

Now for the winners of the tournament.

I discovered the beautiful artwork of Iain Vellacott on the internet.  He specializes in everyday scenes in Southern France including several of Petanque.  He has generously given me permission to post one of his works here.  You can view more of his work at his web site: www.inoils.com
