Hello Club Members,
It has been too long. I miss seeing you all on the terrains. We are currently in phase 2 which only allows gathers of 5 people and does not allow for gathering for sporting events. We are hoping to move into phase 3 in a few weeks. When that happens we should be able to resume play. I know many of you are chomping at the bit to play again. That being said I received a rather nasty email after my last message to the club about not playing and canceling some tournaments. Simply put we are following the law and the recommendations of medical experts. Many of our members are at risk from Covid 19 and we care too much about each of you to put you in unnecessary danger.
When we resume...

Our hosts in Port Townsend were thrilled that "summer" finally arrived to coincide with the Pacific Northwest Regional Select Singles and Triples Tournament this weekend. Hello Club Members,
Another great tourney. We had many teams over from Portland and a few from Seattle. I am always impressed with the increase in our clubs level of play. Van and I will be working on a training program so we can be even more competitive in the future. I must say I am a little worn out after our third tournament this month and fourth in just over 30 days. Thanks to everyone who helps us put these tourneys on we couldn't do it without your help! Next year we will try to spread these big tourneys out more evenly.

Club members will be on hand to demonstrate the game, and the public is invited to watch or play. The hosted menu will include grilled lamb and French-themed sides provided by club members. Wine will be available for purchase in the Tertulia tasting room.
The local pétanque club is an affiliated club of the Federation of Pétanque USA, and $15 of the annual membership $30 dues goes to that organization which then provides members with liability insurance.
