Hello Club Members,
Sadly we still can not have active club pay or events. FPUSA has canceled all remaining tournaments for the rest of the year. I have spoken with our officers and our club will not be charging a membership fee for next year if you had already paid for this year. I know that FPUSA is considering doing the same thing. Fingers crossed they make that decision as I think it is the correct one for its membership.
I have had members asking if they can play on the terrains. Early on in the pandemic it would not have been a major issue. Unfortunately as we are in phase 2 having additional people on the property affects the occupancy of the tasting room, so our GM has communicated to me that we can not allow any petanque play at this time. Once we reach phase 3 we will be allowed to play once more. Unfortunately phase 3 looks some ways off as the cases continue to increase in our area. The health and safety of our members is our top priority and we will continue to follow the mandates of our Governor and guidelines of our health officials.
I hope everyone is being safe and staying healthy.
